1. About these terms
These Customer Terms apply when you use Backfreight.com or Backfreight.co.uk to search for transport members who may be able to assist with a collection, delivery, movement of goods, removals work or related transport requirement.
2. Backfreight.com's role
Backfreight.com operates as a matching service. We help customers find and contact transport members. Backfreight.com does not itself carry goods, provide transport services, act as a haulage operator, or enter into the transport agreement between you and the transport member.
3. Your search request
You must provide accurate information about the item or load, collection location, delivery location, preferred timing, vehicle requirement, loading help and contact details. Inaccurate information may affect the quality of the matches shown to you.
4. Contacting transport members
Once matched, you are responsible for contacting the transport member directly, agreeing the service required, confirming the price, checking suitability and making your own arrangements.
5. Payments
Backfreight.com does not hold customer money, does not operate an escrow service and does not collect payment on behalf of transport members unless a separate written service is introduced later. Payments, quotes and charges are agreed directly between you and the transport member.
6. Goods and suitability
You must not use Backfreight.com for unlawful, unsafe, prohibited, restricted or unsuitable goods. You are responsible for ensuring the transport member is told about anything important, including size, weight, fragility, access, stairs, parking, deadlines and loading requirements.
7. Disputes
Any service dispute, delay, cancellation, loss, damage, refund or complaint about the transport service should first be raised directly with the transport member. Backfreight.com may review complaints about use of the platform but is not automatically responsible for the transport service provided by a member.
8. Acceptance
By submitting a search request, you confirm that you accept these Customer Terms, the Matching Service Disclaimer and the Privacy Policy.
